We want to enter into the cabin fever season remembering the good we did for the people we loved over the holiday, and also for the place we live. Here’s how you can do both.
This holiday, go to your locally-owned businesses and get gift certificates for your loved ones. Not only will it help them get out of the house in the months to come, but it isn’t adding to the clutter and has the bonus effect of helping your local economy.
Use your SBB card to save on goods and services purchased, and be sure to pass and any $2 bills to a friend to spend locally. (Hint: $2 bills go great in holiday cards!)
Remember: Every dollar you spend where you live and keep in circulation multiplies 2-4 times and keeps that wealth in your local economy.
