Learn to create a sustainable homestead

The Stratford Ecological Center, a non-profit educational organic farm and nature preserve on 236 acres in Delaware County, will be hosting a Permaculture workshop with Certified Permaculture Designer Braden Trauth. What’s Permaculture? Braden lays out the basics in this short video.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of creating a sustainable homestead, farm, community, bioregion, and planet beginning at your back door at this 1.5 day workshop with Braden Trauth of This-Land.org. It will cover basic Permaculture design methods, green building, holistic water management and regenerative landscaping, and gardening and farming that minimize work and enhance yield. These tools will help enhance ecosystems, recharge ground water, and help people become truly sustainable. Students who take this course will be eligible for a discount for This-Land.org’s 2013 Permaculture Design Certifications.  $35 per person.
